Comment: Mini-Flyers & Mini-Book and Kit is a nice little gift for an inexperienced paper airplane pilot. It is not the greatest book on paper airplanes, but it was not meant to be.
The book covers the construction of 4 planes, all of which a seasoned flyer will be familiar with. new to them.
Nicely written and concise, hopefully it will bring bring out the test pilot in everyone!
There is a mini foam flyer and stickers included as well. The foam flyer flies quite well, and will keep a younger sibling (or yourself) occupied.
There is too heavy to make. It is too heavy to make a traditional paper airplane, and it is folded down into a small square as well, heavily creased. Maybe it is for packing? The print is VERY small in the book; make sure you have good eyesight!
So my grade for this book is overall a 3. But as a gift to a fledgling pilot, I give it a 5, solely on the strength of the designs.
Why such a low score? Quite a few things. Only 4 planes covered in the book, the waste of potential space with 2 sheets of blank folded paper, the inclusion of a plastic nose weight for no specified reason, the photograph on the back of the box that displays a plane that does not follow the direction in the book, and finally the relatively high price of $ 6.95
All of these are easily correctable, and I hope to review this again changes have been made.
Total score: 3/10 planes
