If you have a spy pens, sometimes it may be stuck with lights on, it may be dead, sometimes it does not turn on. We wrote this report and showed some tricks you found to make it work again.
1. Perform a hard reset
For the most part, your spy pens will function only by inserting the edge of the paper clip into the opening under the backlight's status light and performing a hard reset. Please bend the end of a small paper clip and insert straight into the opening. When you meet the resistance, you can feel the reset button pressed by pushing the light.
Make sure that it is not in a diagonal direction, or you may damage some of the internal components. When I try to go, I try to turn it on.
2. Eliminate the USB cable
If you connect the Spy Pen to the computer using the USB cable, or connect it to the 110 V wall charger adapter, the cable may malfunction. If you use a USB cable because you can not connect the pen directly to the computer, please plug it directly into the computer.
Please do not use USB hub. Sometimes there is not enough power. Just connect it directly to the computer's USB port. On some computers, the front USB port is weak, so use the back USB port.
3. Eliminate 110V wall charger
As with the USB cable, the 110 V wall charger adapter also breaks down at some point. Therefore, if charging is unnecessary, please try to charge for 3 hours on the computer's USB port. If the status lamp is lit during charging, power will be available to charge the battery.
4. Restore spy pens in video mode
Some Spy Pens have a switch to switch to photo mode or voice activated mode. Say you can not recognize your computer unless you move the switch to change the mode and return to video mode. Please try to return the switch to its original position.
5. Erase and reformat the spy pens
If the spy pens is displayed as a removable drive on the PC, right click on the icon and execute "Format". Then check the "Quick Format" button and press OK. The drive is erased and reformatted. This will handle the pen which realizes this so far.
On the Apple computer, use Disk Utility to erase the drive and format as MS DOS 32. Then take it out properly. On Mac, right-click the drive and choose Eject. For PC, click the green left arrow at the bottom right of the monitor and click eject to properly remove the device.
