Here are some super-easy smoothie recipes that hold a fountain of healthy benefits.

I have been drinking at least one smoothie a day for never felt better in my life. The first thing I noticed when starting to make my own smoothies with soy protein was the increased energy level. Before drinking a smoothie a Now, I can easily have have fallen sleep each day around 3 pm. Now, I make it through the day with energy to spare when I get home in the evening. Who does not long for that?!

I add two tablespoons of soy protein powder to my smoothies. The benefits of the soy protein powder are:

  • protein builds muscle tissue which burns more calories
  • most brands are fortified with vitamins and minerals your body needs
  • more energy
  • decreases your appetite throughout the day
  • takes longer for your body to metabolize, then less hunger

If you desire to lose weight, drink two smoothies per day as meal replacements. If you want to maintain your weight, drink one smoothie per day as a meal replacement. The soy protein powder added to these smoothies (if it is fortified with vitamins and minerals) makes them a low calorie meal replacement or meal supplement.

Here are a few easy recipes you can try for yourself:

Banana Cream

2 tbsp Vanilla flavored soy protein powder
6 oz Skim milk
1 banana
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
ice cubes

Blend on high until all the ice cubes are crushed.

Aloha Delight

2 tbs. Vanilla-flavored soy protein powder
1 Cup skim Milk
1/2 tsp coconut extract
1/2 tsp pineapple extract
1 tbs orange juice

Blend for at least 30 seconds or until ice is completely crushed.

Kiwi Quencher

2 tbs Vanilla flavored soy protein powder
8 oz water
1 kiwi fruit
1/2 banana
2 drops green chartreuse
ice cubes

Blend in a blender until smooth.
