My favorite writer is Bobby Braddock. I wish I had had a writing comforty. I got to know Bobby and listened to his album, "Hard Pore Cornogaphy." He was definitely a major inspiration for me to write funny songs.
I would write a few songs, give Bobby a tape and he would call me from his cell phone, usually laughing. He was make suggestions and I would listen because can pass on his wisdom and my experience to you.

Try to save your funniest lines. It's as simple as taking a serious subject and making it ridiculous. You need to make a laugh breaks in your song so the listener is not laughing over your next lines. for the end of the song.
